This weekend introductory training teaches the basics in a small group setting. Several times each year, this training is offered to therapists and therapists-in-training. It is always a fun weekend, with a large experiential component–you’ll have the experience of both making and witnessing a sandtray. In this training, you will learn to create a psychotherapy office setting for sandplay with the necessary equipment and you will be able to begin using sandplay in your practice.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the necessary equipment needed for setting up sandplay for a psychotherapy office.
- Identify ways sandplay can be used in psychotherapy practice.
- Name practical sandplay skills with clients.
- List important aspects of symbols in sandplay.
- Identify differences between sandplay and sandtray.
- List reasons for safety in sandplay.
- Identify ethical and competent ways to use sandplay with diverse client populations.
